The programme commenced with the march past that filled the aura with nationalism. We then had flag hoisting by our beloved Manojji, Bhiku Anna and Ravi Paranjape ji. Manojji and Bhiku Anna gave us a strong message through their inspiring words about the modern age we wish to usher into, while following our principles.
On this patriotic occasion, many students presented speeches in Hindi and English that depicted a colorful spectacle of India’s vision. The music choir performed a nationalist song thus highlighting the sacrifice of our freedom fighters, in turn expressing the loyalty of the countrymen towards our nation. The program continued with our students performing various gymnastic stunts. Our students, with the support of their fellow mates created a human pyramid that highlighted their effective co-ordination within themselves. The crowd cheered and applauded their incredible performance, which lifted their spirits up.
The ambience of patriotism was further elevated by enthusiasm when the tiny tots of Pre-primary and 1st to 4th standard dressed up as various national leaders and represented various cultures of India. This fancy dress event strongly emphasized the vivid cultures of our country along with the existence of unity in diversity.
The Independence Day concluded with students inquiring into what it means to be really independent and respecting the efforts that were taken by our freedom fighters so that we could breathe free.
