Books make us wise but travel makes us wiser. On this note, primary section students of Rishi Gurukulam were taken to a trip of Pune Darshan on 2nd Apr 2019.

Our trip began with the very famous Shaniwarvada. While children came to know about cavalry of Bajirao, they also experienced the magnificent construction of Shaniwarvada.

Next stop was Lal Mahal, the Palace where Shivaji Maharaj spent years of his childhood. From there we went to the very popular Dagdu Shet Halwai temple. Asia’s richest abode for Pune’s loved diety Ganpati Bappa.

Children enjoyed Puneri lunch at kadak zatka, sadashiv peth. Awesomely different preperation of Misal paav in traditional earthen ware.

Post the scrumptious meal, we covered tulsi bag, mandai and headed to kelkar museum. Children enjoyed seeing the collection there.

Final spot was Saras Baug, its serene Ganpati and its chowpati. Children enjoyed various local puneri snacks like SPDP & Mastanee. All children had a wonderful experience and learning.
